On March 9, UNDR Ctrl presents an unmissable international edition of CLUB Ctrl featuring two of the most influential electronic from the past 30 years, Alain and Stéphane Quême aka Alan Braxe & DJ Falcon.

On March 9UNDR Ctrl presents an unmissable international edition of CLUB Ctrl featuring two of the most influential electronic from the past 30 years, Alain and Stéphane Quême aka Alan Braxe & DJ Falcon.

Alan Braxe and DJ Falcon are indisputable architects of the French Touch — the emotive house music that emerged from Paris in the mid 90s and changed the game forever. In 2022 Braxe + Falcon joined forces to release the 'Step By Step' EP on Smugglers Way, with the title track (featuring Panda Bear from Animal Collective) landing at #8 on Pitchfork’s Top 100 songs of 2022 and killer remixes dropping from Axel Boman, A-Trak and Paul Woolford. They backed that up with stunning remixes for an A-list artists Phoenix, Jungle and Hot Chip over the past 12 months.

With a juggernaut of hype, a worldwide tour followed including a highly successful tour across Australia & New Zealand last November including a special guest appearance at Harbourlife festival Sydney. Due to high demand Braxe + Falcon are back in Australia this March for a massive festival tour including Golden Plains, WOMADelaide and WOMAD NZ and we are extremely lucky to see them play their only Sydney date of the tour @ The Abercrombie as part of our exclusive CLUB Ctrl residency.

Flashing back for a second, you will of course also already know that individually Braxe + Falcon have released some of the greatest house music records ever made, and both of them have collaborated with Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter over many releases.

Alan Braxe’s back catalogue includes the 1998 global smash hit 'Music Sounds Better With You’ (by Stardust) and ‘Vertigo’ - both tracks released via Bangalter’s famed imprint Roulé. Other notable Braxe classics include ‘Intro' and 'In Love With You' - both featured on last year’s 'The Upper Cuts’ vinyl pack, and his remix of Shakedown’s ‘At Night’. The Parisian has also racked up remix credits for Björk, Britney Spears, Faithless, Jamiroquai, Röyksopp, Kylie, Justice, Beyoncé and The Presets and is widely regarded for his collaborations with Kris Menace and Fred Falke.

DJ Falcon’s repertoire is just as impressive. Thomas Bangalter released Falcon’s first EP 'Hello My Name Is DJ Falcon’ on Roulé, before the two of them teamed up to create electronic duo ’Together’ with the releases ’Together’ and 'So Much Love To Give’ becoming instant classics in the early 2000’s. Falcon’s most visible credit in the last 10 years was as co-producer/writer on ‘Contact', the explosive closing track of Daft Punk’s 2013 megalith ‘Random Access Memories’.

Warming the floor will be the ever-tasteful Clashé who will be setting the tone with a 3 hour set, whilst house-music maestro Callyy will blow the roof off with the closing set at the end of the night. Upstairs we welcome rising Sydney selectors Champs, SIILA and Pixel Chick for their CLUB Ctrl debuts.

WOW. Are you ready for this?

Thurs 14.03 | 9pm - 3am

We're kicking off the year with a month-long series of Thursday parties.
